Respect for Intellectual Property

Bait & Bite respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and will respond promptly to valid takedown notices.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on Bait & Bite infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice containing the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
  2. Identification of the infringing material on the Platform, including sufficient detail (e.g., URL or screenshot) to allow us to locate it.
  3. Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

How to Submit

Send your DMCA takedown notice to our designated copyright agent via email. Please include “DMCA Takedown Notice” in the subject line. Contact information is provided on the Platform.

What Happens Next

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly
  • Notify the user who posted the content that it has been removed
  • Provide the user with information about filing a counter-notification

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error or is not infringing, you may file a counter-notification containing:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  3. Your name, address, and telephone number
  4. A statement consenting to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or any judicial district if you are outside the U.S.)
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed content.

Repeat Infringers

Bait & Bite maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion.

Good Faith Warning

Please be aware that filing a false DMCA takedown notice may result in legal liability. Before submitting a notice, consider whether the use of the copyrighted material may qualify as fair use.
