4. User-Generated Content

When you post photos, captions, or other content (“User Content”) to the Platform, you retain ownership of your content. However, by posting, you grant Bait & Bite a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.

You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to post your User Content; (b) your content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party; and (c) your content complies with our Community Guidelines.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
• Upload malware, spam, or automated content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts
• Use the Platform for any commercial purpose without our written consent
• Harvest or collect user data without consent
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform

6. Fishing Regulations & Safety Disclaimer

Bait & Bite provides fishing regulations, tide data, weather information, and cooking guidance for informational purposes only. This information is not a substitute for official state or federal regulations. Regulations change frequently, and we cannot guarantee accuracy or completeness.

You are solely responsible for verifying all fishing rules with your local wildlife agency before fishing. Bait & Bite is not liable for any fines, penalties, injuries, or losses resulting from reliance on information provided through the Platform.

Similarly, cooking tips and recipes shared on the Platform are for general guidance. You assume all risk related to food preparation and consumption.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Bait & Bite and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Bait & Bite name, logo, and all related marks are our trademarks.

8. Copyright Complaints

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please see our Copyright & DMCA Policy for instructions on filing a takedown notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bait & Bite and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
